ORTA Flat in a historic house in the medieval village

The flat is located in a building along the main street of the medieval village of Orta, halfway between the car parks and the pier square.

The municipal gardens of Villa Bossi, as well as access to the lake for a dip in its cool waters, are just a stone’s throw away.

The two-room flat is on the first floor of a historic house. The Arte Povera-style décor was chosen by the owners to highlight the historic character of the place and is in perfect harmony with the period coffered ceiling. In contrast, the modern kitchen ensures all modern comforts are provided.

The flat is divided into a living area and a sleeping area. There is a spacious open-plan living area with a linear kitchen, dining table and sofa. The sleeping area comprises a double bedroom. In between is a fully equipped bathroom with a shower.

With the tenancy agreement, it is possible to apply for a permit for NON-residents to park in the yellow-lined spaces outside the restricted traffic zone (ZTL). Parking is municipal, uncovered and not guaranteed.

The main information regarding this tenancy agreement is as follows:

• A tenancy agreement of a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 18 months is required;
• A mandatory security deposit equivalent to three months’ rent is required; this will be returned at the end of the tenancy following a thorough inspection of the flat by our staff;
• The landlord reserves the right to assess whether pets are permitted;
• For utility bills (electricity, gas, water, boiler maintenance, waste collection charges), a monthly advance payment of €125.00 is required, which will be settled at the end of the contract.

Orta is the most important town of the lake, as well as the one giving the lake its name. The Island of San Giulio is part of its municipal boundaries. With its impressive basilica and its ancient history of castles and treasures, but also of dragons and saints.

The medieval village was built on the slopes of a promontory, on which was later built the Holy Mountain, since 2003 part of the UNESCO Heritage of humanity list.
