The apartment for sale is located in a complex which housed an old paper mill called “La Tesa” open in the first half of the Eighteenth Century.
The factory used as the driving force the river Pellino. The building was equipped with a high chimney, which drew the views of Pella until 1939 when it was demolished. The paper that was produced was used for the printing of the newspaper “The Century”.
A few steps from the paper mill, on the right, there is a beautiful bridge humpbacked which bearing the date of 1578, and the Latin inscription “Magrioha-ninusde rugis fecit” (Magister Joaninus De Regis Fecit).
In the past, the bridge served as a connection to the cemetery of San Rocco, which now allows, instead, to walk watching the passage of Pellino river that flows into the lake.
