ORTA Renovated apartment in historic center
This apartment, located on the top floor of an antique building in the town’s center, is simply perfect for spending your vacations in Orta.
The bedroom is really big, with a nice wood-burning fireplace that makes even the coldest winter nights very romantic, while the living room is well lit and comfortable.
The bathroom, accessible by the living room, is of a modern style, and it has a shower.
The apartment is reachable only by stairs, but it does have a front-row view of the Church of San Rocco and a view of Lake Orta.
Last but not least, it is very close to the communal parking!
Orta is the most important town of the lake, as well as what it gave the lake its name. The Island of San Giulio is part of its municipal boundaries, with its impressive basilica and its ancient history of castles and treasures, but also of dragons and saints.
To reach the island you can take one of the boats that depart regularly from the central square.
The medieval village was built on the slopes of a promontory, on which was later built the Holy Mountain, since 2003 part of the heritage of humanity list compiled by UNESCO.
I can not describe in a few lines the value of stone streets, the romantic views, the decorated iron balconies, and the atmosphere that is breathed in every alleyway.
