STRESA splendid villa with a park and dependance

The villa that we are presenting you today is located in Alpino, a neighborhood of Stresa.

A residential area that is characterized by villas of all sizes which has developed itself on the sides of the Mottarone mountain. This is why you can see Lake Maggiore so well that it gives you the impression of being able to touch it.

Once you’ve passed the entry gate you leave behind the elegant neighborhood and you enter a world all of its own where the only border is the view of the lake.

The villa is about 600 sqm, it has original cured and prestigious elements, directly from its era, the era we are referring to is the thirties.

The day area is made of a double living room with a fireplace in marble, a dining room, a kitchen with an entry hall, and a small service bathroom. Every room looks out onto the beautiful park of about 8.000 sqm in total.

Going up to the second floor, by using the elegant wooden staircase, we find the night area made of four bedrooms and two refined modern bathrooms. One of the rooms has the original stained glass window in ancient leaded glass (made by hand). We must admit that this room has the best view of them all.

To complete the offer we have a dependence of about 130 sqm, well separated from the main villa,  in which we find two independent apartments with separate entrances.

The villa has been completely restored in 2008.

point  Gignese is a popular holiday resort located halfway between Stresa and Mottarone, as well as on the Strada delle Due Riviere which connects Lake Maggiore with Lake Orta. In the second half of the nineteenth century, the activation of a lead and zinc mine, the residence of the most renowned Lombard painters, and the construction of villas in the Alpine locality brought back to life the rural village characterized by a strong emigration.

The first news we have of Gignese (originally Zinexium) dates back to 1269. Patron saint of the village is San Maurizio, owner of the parish church (feast on the first Sunday of January). San Desiderio is also venerated in 1665 for the arrival of relics from Rome.
