In 1928 the autonomous comune of Auzate was incorporated into the comune of Gozzano to become a district or “frazione” of the same.

Gozzano is on the provincial main road SP 229 between Borgomanero and Omegna. The station of Gozzano is situated on the railway line Novara-Gozzano-Domodossola and is served by the regional trains of Trenitalia.
